shilala bars were born out of a desire to share the myriad health benefits of shilajit with our family & friends.
First, we tried to get them to take the resin. To quote my 93-year old grandma โthat is the worst thing Iโve ever had in my entire life.โ
Then we tried to get them to swallow the capsules โฆ but the capsules were โtoo bigโ or โtoo boringโ et cetera et cetera.ย To be honest โ weโre not big fans of the powder either --- nutrients are depleted during the dehydration process & the capsule absorption process causes you to miss out on the energy boost you get from the resin.
Then we thought โ hey, what about gummies? So we looked into that for approximately .02 seconds โฆ & were turned off (read: absolutely repulsed) by the additives, sugar alcohols and generally nutrient deficient ingredients.
Then we thought โฆ hmm โฆ how about a bar? ย Through many months of trial & error and guinea-pig testing on not only ourselves but also our nearest & dearest, we landed on a clean, nutritious & addictive bar featuring an insane 1000 mg (thats 1 gram!) of shilajit per bar.ย Packing as much shilajit as possible into the bar was very important to us; as important as the other ingredients being all natural, healthy and organic.ย

TG lives in Ulaanbaatar & is responsible for sourcing our reliable supply of high-quality shilajit. He works closely with the harvester & oversees the purification process. TG is a dynamic businessman and owner of Hovsgol Makh Market, a Mongolian food company. Additionally, he plays a pivotal role in steering the business development endeavors of his family's enterprise, Hovsgol Travel LLC, renowned for its expertise in the tourism and construction sectors.
Cat, located in Chicago, likewise has an entrepreneurial background โ in real estate, design and art. An avid runner, she became a shilajit enthusiast after taking over 1 minute off her mile times โฆ & realizing she was never sore anymore.
